Water Treatment Plant

The Village of Albion Water Treatment Plant is the primary source of water, including drinking water, in Orleans County. We provide intake, filtration, monitoring and analysis of water from Lake Ontario. Our facilities filter approximately 500 million gallons of water annually and serve over 15,000 residents in Orleans County. We currently provide water for the following localities:

Village of Albion, Town of Albion, Town of Barre, Town of Carlton, Town of Gaines & Town of Murray

Now Hiring – Police Officer

Village of Albion Police Department is hiring a Part-Time Police Officer and Full-Time Lateral Transfer Police Officer.  Part-Time Police Officer starting pay is $31/hr.  Full-Time Lateral Transfer Police Officer starting pay is $63,870 (depending on experience).

  • Applicant must have current certified Police Officer status is New York State.
  • Applicant must meet the requirements of a Civil Service Eligible Police Officer.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a background check and a psychological evaluation.
  • Applicant must have a valid New York State Driver’s License.
  • Applicant must be available & willing to work multiple different types of shifts and details.

PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Village of Albion Board of Trustees will conduct a Public Hearing at 6:00PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Village of Albion Board Room 35 East Bank St. Albion, NY, to consider amending the Code of the Village of Albion, CHAPTER 59 Parks and Recreation in the Village of Albion.  A copy of the proposed changes are available in the Village Clerks Office Mon-Fri 8:00AM- 4:00PM.  Any person interested in this matter is invited to attend the June 22, 2022 meeting of the Village Board of Trustees to speak in favor or opposition of said amendment.
